"I've got my children home on school holidays, and I'm always on the look out for little projects we can do to stave off boredom. I thought we could make sheets of handmade embellishments that can be used on cards or layouts, and even given away as gifts to like-minded crafty people. This little project ticks a lot of boxes: -keeps us busy for an hour or two -uses up scraps of supplies, so it costs nothing -we spend our time productively and make cool stuff that will save us time later. I like to make these little things in multiples - one design in a few colours. Here's an example of three different designs, in a couple of colours. I have used a selection of papers from a 6x6 paper pad, but of course scraps you already have at home can be used. To make the embellishments more presentable as a gift, I have attached them to a piece of acetate with a couple of little glue dots and decorated the top of the acetate with a piece cut from a Labels Six die cut."
