Well this is our final project for 2011.  Hasn't the year gone by quickly?

Here is a lovely idea for a placecard, just in time for your holiday entertaining.

"I made a frame for the name on this placecard using a Labels Eight die and then an oval die for the centre. Before attaching it to the placecard, I embossed the frame and before removing it from the embossing template, I sponged a little acrylic paint over it to bring out the detail. I'll be needing a few of these placecards leading up to Christmas! Fortunately they are super easy to whip up."

Today's project is a lovely layout using purple, another colour not usually associated with Christmas projects.

"Try using different colour combinations for Christmas, purple and gold is a really striking choice, have your photos printed in black and white so they suit the page."

Today we have our final Tutorial for 2011.  We will be back again in the New Year with more projects to get you inspired.

"This is a really quick way to make a bunch of gift tags at once. These tags are 5 x 2 inches in size."

Twinery Bakers Twine – Maraschino
Prima alphabet stickers

 Instructions:

 Step One:

Cut a piece of 12x12 Bazzill cardstock into two 5 inch strips and one 2 inchstrip.



 Step Two:

Choose two papers from the pad – a plain one and a patterned one. Cut two 1½ inch strips of the plain (red) paper and two 1 inch strips of thepatterned (blue) paper, and cut a scalloped edge on them using the scallop Edgeabilities die.


Step Three:

Glue the scalloped edge pieces in place on the 5 inch strip of Bazzill.


Step Four

Cut the 5 inch strip into 2 inch pieces. These are the 5 x 2 inch tag bases.


Step Five:

Cut circles from each of the papers and glue in place on the tags. Punch ahole in the centre of the circles.


Step Six:

Stamp an ornament onto the 2 inch strip of Bazzill, and cut out using theHeirloom Ornament die. Attach to the tag using foam mounting squares.







Step Seven:

Finish the tags of with some Bakers Twine and alphabet stickers.
